The Basics:

The brown spider monkey, also known as the Emails hybrid, lives in the sub-tropical rainforests of Venezuela and Colombia. There are two types of Atlas hybridus: Atlas hybridus brands and Atlas hybridus hybridus. Brown spider monkeys are a division of spider monkeys, so there are many similarities between the two. The brown spider separates the monkey which is their physical structure. Brown spider monkeys are usually light brown on their back, arms and legs. They have a white patch going up to their upper abdomen. The brown spider monkey may also have blue eyes.

Habitat:

Brown spider monkeys are mostly found in mainland Colombia but also in Venezuela. They prefer warm, wet climates and live on the umbrella of evergreen trees. They are arboreal (live in trees) in nature and therefore spend most of their lives on the top parts of tall trees and are rarely seen on the forest floor.

7. The size of a troop usually depends on the abundance of food available.

8. The average life span of a brown spider monkey is 26 years. They remain in an additional 10 captives.
