A  plea of wildlife activists contended that over last "50" years population of G.I.B (Grate Indian  Busterd) has recorded a decline of over "82" percent, falling from an estimated "1260" in "1969", to 100-150

in 2018.

वन्यजीव कार्यकर्ताओं की एक दलील का तर्क है कि पिछले "50" वर्षों में भारतीय ग्रेटेस्ट की आबादी में "82" प्रतिशत की गिरावट दर्ज की गई है, जो "1969" में अनुमानित "1260" से गिरकर 100-150 हो गई है।

➤  The Great Indian Bustard (Ardeotis nigriceps) or Indian Bustard is a bustard found on the                Indian Subcontinent. It is protected under the wildlife protection act "1972" of India.

      महान भारतीय बस्टर्ड (Ardeotis nigriceps) या भारतीय बस्टर्ड भारतीय पर पाया जाने वाला एक बस्टर्ड है

      उपमहाद्वीप। यह भारत के वन्यजीव संरक्षण अधिनियम "1972" के तहत संरक्षित है।

➤ In India, the bird was historically found in Punjab, Odisha, Haryana, Utter pradesh, Madhya               pradesh, Chhttisgarh, Andhra pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, karnataka and Tamil               Nadu.

  

    भारत में, यह पक्षी ऐतिहासिक रूप से पंजाब, ओडिशा, हरियाणा, यूटर प्रादेश, मध्य प्रदेष, छत्तीसगढ़,             आंध्रप्रदेश, राजस्थान, गुजरात, महाराष्ट्र, कर्नाटक और तमिलनाडु में पाया जाता था।

➤  Tuday the Bustard is restricted to isolated pockets in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka,

      Maharashtra, Madhya pradesh, and Rajasthan (shared withe Pakistan).

     In 2013 International Union Conservation of Nature (I.U.N.C) placed G.I.B (Great Indian                Bustard )

     in the category of critically endangered species.

. G.I.B (Grate Indian Bustard) as a contender for National Bird. 

   The Indian Bustard is considerd among the largest flying birds in the world. In the early 1960,       

   when India was choosing its national birds, the G.I.B (Great Indian Bustard ) was a top                     contender with support form the country's famous ornithologist salim Ali. But it lost the race to the     glamorous peacock.   

   इंडियन बस्टर्ड दुनिया के सबसे बड़े उड़ने वाले पक्षियों में गिना जाता है। 1960 की शुरुआत में,

   जब भारत अपने राष्ट्रीय पक्षियों का चयन कर रहा था, जी.आई.बी एक शीर्ष दावेदार था जिसमें समर्थन फार्म    

   देश के प्रसिद्ध पक्षी विज्ञानी सलीम अली। लेकिन यह ग्लैमरस मोर की दौड़ हार गया।

➤  We must first understand the mating and courtship practice of the G.I.B (Great Indian                         Bustard )

➤  The male G.I.B (Great Indian Bustard ) inflected his "gular" pouch (near the neck) which                 almost touches the ground in order to produce a large booming sound reverberates across the               grassland.

Taking serious note of alarming extinction of a Indian bird ..... Great Indian Bustard the supreme court has constituted a high powered committee to urgently frame and implement an emergence response plan for the protection of these species.

The top court constituted a three member plan comprising. 

भारतीय पक्षी के खतरनाक विलुप्त होने का गंभीर ध्यान रखते हुए ..... ग्रेट इंडियन बस्टर्ड सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इन प्रजातियों की सुरक्षा के लिए एक तत्काल प्रतिक्रिया योजना तैयार करने और इसे लागू करने के लिए एक उच्च स्तरीय समिति का गठन किया है।

शीर्ष अदालत ने तीन सदस्यीय योजना का गठन किया।

➤ Deepak Apte - Director of Bombay Natural history society (B.N.H.S).

➤ Asad R Rahmani - former Director of (B.N.H.S) and member of governing body of wetlands               International south Asia.

     असद आर रहमानी - (B.N.H.S) के पूर्व निदेशक और वेटलैंड्स इंटरनेशनल साउथ एशिया के शासी                 निकाय के सदस्य।

➤ Dhananjay Mohan - Chef Conservator of forests of Uttarakhand.

.Projects Taken By Government For Conservation Of G.I.B (Great Indian Bustard).

➤  Rajasthan is home to manimum number of  Great Indian Bustard. It is also the state bird of              Rajasthan.  

      राजस्थान ग्रेट इंडियन बस्टर्ड के सबसे अनुकूल संख्या का घर है। यह राजस्थान का राज्य पक्षी भी है।

➤  Recently the state government that it has decided to set up  two captive breeding centers for                conservation of the Great Indian Bustard.

      हाल ही में राज्य सरकार ने महान भारतीय बस्टर्ड के संरक्षण के लिए दो कैप्टिव प्रजनन केंद्र स्थापित करने          का निर्णय लिया है।

➤  The two place identified for setting up the breeding centres for the Rajasthan's state bird are                sursan in kata and Ramdeora in jaisalmer.

      राजस्थान के राज्य पक्षी के लिए प्रजनन केंद्रों की स्थापना के लिए पहचाने जाने वाले दो स्थानों कासना और          रामदोरा में जैसलमेर में सर्जन हैं।

➤  According to wildlife expert, the Great Indian Bustard are found in Rajasthan, Gujrat, Madhya        Pradesh and Andhra pradesh but their number has declined to just four to five in other state,                except Rajasthan.     

      वन्यजीव विशेषज्ञ के अनुसार, ग्रेट इंडियन बस्टर्ड राजस्थान, गुजरात, मध्य प्रदेश और आंध्र प्रदेश में पाए            जाते हैं, लेकिन राजस्थान को छोड़कर अन्य राज्यों में उनकी संख्या घटकर मात्र चार से पांच रह गई है।

➤  In Rajasthan too, their number has come down to 50 or 60 from 250 in the past 20 year in                    absence of concerted efforts to preserve the endangered species.

      राजस्थान में भी, विलुप्तप्राय प्रजातियों को संरक्षित करने के ठोस प्रयासों के अभाव में, पिछले 20 वर्षों में              इनकी संख्या 250 से  घटकर 50 या 60 रह गई है।

Undertaken Project Worth 33 crore to save the G.I.B (Great Indian Bustard). 

➤ Ministry has initiated Habitat Improvement and conservation breeding of Great Indian Bustard.       An Integrated Approach a project worth 33.85 crore. 

     मंत्रालय ने ग्रेट इंडियन बस्टर्ड के आवास सुधार और संरक्षण प्रजनन शुरू किया है। एक एकीकृत दृष्टिकोण       33.85 करोड़ की परियोजना।

➤ The important objective of this programme is to build up captive population of Great Indian                  Bustard and to release the chicks in the wild for increasing the population.

      इस कार्यक्रम का महत्वपूर्ण उद्देश्य ग्रेट इंडियन बस्टर्ड की कैप्टिव आबादी का निर्माण करना और आबादी          बढ़ाने के लिए जंगल में चूजों को मुक्त करना है।

➤ Rajasthan, Gujrat, and Maharastra are the important range states involved in this programme.
